Charlene Marie was born on July 22nd ,1990 in Rhode Island. As a child her Grandmother exposed her to classic country music. It was at a young age that she realized her passion and love for the country genre. When she was twelve years old she performed on national television when appearing on CBS “Star Search.” The experience of being on “Star Search” was bittersweet, but it was then that she developed the thick skin that one needs to try and make it in the music industry. Throughout her teenage years Charlene performed throughout New England at county fairs and festivals. A moment in her life that has really inspired her was Muzak’s Heart and Soul Foundation summer camp “NOISE!.” From hundreds of applicants, Charlene was one out of 32 students to be chosen to participate in this educational experience. It was through the NOISE! camp that she received the opportunity to record a song for St. Jude’s hospital. Charlene was also one out of two of the NOISE campers to be premiered on the Key West Songwriters Festival CD of 2010. After attending Noise! Charlene moved to Nashville, TN to attend Belmont University and pursue her dream as a singer/songwriter. So far Charlene has had nothing less than a wild ride pursuing her musical dream, but so far every stumble has been worth the fight.
