Natalie Turgeon Band / Bio
Natalie Turgeon, a small town girl from NH, has quickly and
definitively proven herself as a Masterful Vocalist. She brings a
Sultry and Soulful side to all of her music, and can morph from a
Gently Whispering Angel, into Rockin' Raging Powerhouse within the
blink of an eye!!!
In 2011 Natalie made the decision to pursue a career in music and
formed a band with 3 talented musicians. Natalie has been on many
stages this past year, from local venues and charity events, to
opening for country legend Ricky Skaggs, to singing the national
anthem on ESPN for hundreds of thousands at the Sylvania 300.
Although she absolutely adores the Country Genre, Natalie is taking
her band to a whole new direction . . . Pop and Rock Music!!! She
wants to create music that really lets her show off the Soul in her
voice, and she is now writing and readying that for her next CD.
In her previous 5 song EP, Natalie and her band recorded 4 original
works and 1 reinvented cover song. The EP features a little something
for each one of Natalie’s fans. It showcases her masterful command of
multiple genres, demonstrating her ability to blend the best of each
one at will. It also shows Natalie’s uncanny ability to take a
well-established song and reinvigorate it with her own flare.
Natalie is excited to share her new songs with her fans, with New
England, and hopefully, with the World. As Natalie states “Music
connects us to each other and stirs up our raw emotions. I love
singing to my audience and being able to take them on a journey
through my experiences and passions.”
Shortly after Natalie formed her band, she found herself on stage in
Austin, Texas performing her first original song “Countryish”. This
song and its accompanying music video earned her more than double the
popular votes of any other contestant in the national competition,
Dodge Ram’s ?Battle of the Bands. Ramzone had this to say, “Lead
singer Natalie Turgeon belted out the lyrics with such force and
conviction that you’d swear she was born in the Grand Ole Opry rather
than New Hampshire.” Wendy Geller from Yahoo Music, who saw Natalie
perform in Austin, Texas, put it like this … “Hanging out with her
before the show, she seemed like a sweet and mellow young lady – the
kind of girl who’d be your most trustworthy friend in high school. But
when she hit the stage, her remarkable powerful vocal talent rocked
that entire image. It’s not easy to do country, and it’s not easy to
rock out. Natalie mixed both seamlessly and instantly morphed into one
badass chick–that can really sing – on that stage.” Natalie’s rapidly
expanding fan base like to call it “Nattitude”. In one short year
Natalie claimed 2011 NHCMA’s best female vocalist of the year and 2011
NHCMA’s best female entertainer of the region. She also took by
popular vote 2011 Cider Magazine’s Best Vocalist. Natalie and her band
also landed in the finals, of the long running televised New England
talent showcase, Community Auditions. Most recently, they were voted
the “Best Local Band Playing Mostly Original Songs” in the “Best of
2012” issue of Hippo Magazine, voted Best Country Band 2012 by Cider
Magazine, and are nominated for a prestigious New England Music Award
for Best Country Band.
Natalie’s performance will clearly demonstrate that she is the “Real
Deal”. Her Powerful Vocals mixed with her Rockin’ Attitude are an
undeniable force, and she will absolutely, with no doubt, leave you
wanting more . . . Much More!!!
Your performance took my breath away! . . . NH Governor John Lynch
