I was born in Surrey, raised in Hampshire and now live in Devon by the sea (although to be honest I’m more of a mountain person.. or even a woods and stream kind of person!) I’ve always been a writer, writing stories, poems and plays from an early age, and I started playing the guitar when I was 8. The songs started in my teens, although I never dared sing them..The music has always been very personal for me: I write to resolve my own issues, to explore and understand something better, so it’s taken me a very long time to go out and sing in public. In fact I first ventured out onto the Open Mic scene about 8 years ago now, and was met with sufficient encouragement to carry on. Since then I have managed to produce a first album “Free Falling”, which is just myself singing and playing the guitar and doing my own backing vocals, but which I am proud of. Willy Russell, playwright and author of the musical “Blood Brothers” said about this album “a marvellous collection of songs: clever, quirky and moving, and very well-sung!”
