Thank you for stopping by!
Not long after graduating from Texas A&M in 2006, Cody Joe took off to Nashville, and then joined the U.S. Army. While in the Army, he got picked up with the group "Harmony in Motion," who then began traveling across America playing for large entertainment venues. Upon discharge, his dad had a talk with him about the power line business. Being a songwriter, every experience eventually comes out in song. This sounded like something exciting, so he joined the energy field in 2010, and started a band. In march of 2013, he decided to focus on his music and see what plans GOD has for him.
His music has been described as "outlaw country", with a large influence of the country greats such as Merle Haggard, Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings and George Strait. Cody's voice ranges from silky smooth to raspy seduction and he and his band always put on a high-energy performance. It is rare that you will find someone that reaches across the aisle to both the old and new generations, but Cody Joe Hodges does it every time.
He currently has one album out, which has a song that received radio airplay called "Boys of the River". He is currently working on his second album and hoping to release a new single in the next couple of months.
