Our musical influence is a mix of the first wave of death metal in the 80s, progressive death metal, mixed with the blackened death and black metal of today. Lyrically we try to shine light and bring awareness to the evil in the world. Such as different prophetic writings of spiritual experiences, political corruption and conspiracies (historically or modern day), society issues and how everything ties into the one life we all live.
We never claimed to be Satanic, nor religious. Arbitrator for the most part is a band based on the observation of the downfall of our world.
Arbitrator started in 2005 in yucca valley california by founding members Zak Kupcha, Christian Allen, Ryan Hill, then a few months later Noah Johnson. We've been actively playing shows all over southern California including venues such as The Whiskey a go go, Angels Roadhouse,The Key Club of Hollywood, The Showcase in corona (r.i.p.) and have had the pleasure of sharing the stage with Wayne Static, Naked Aggression, Darksun, and the renowned Grind/Crust band Resistant Culture. In 2007 our classic thrash metal song "Shoot to Kill" was featured in Scratch Magazine 35th compilation cd as well as us being featured in the mag. The cd and magazine were both passed around the 2007 warped tour and many local venues all around southern California. For six years annually we have taken part in Strata Tattoos Hellfest (with two years headlining the event) and in 2010 Wayne Static of Static X joined us on the stage to pay tribute to Ronnie James Dio by all of us performing the Dio classic "Holy Diver".
In 2011 we reentered Back of the moon studios with Tony Mason to record our first full length album Withstand Oblivion. The album is a collection of classic tracks and our current set dating from 2005 to 2011. The package for the cd is still under production and official announcement of the release is coming soon.
