Auckland alternative rock/metal band Illuminus has just released their debut album ‘Until The End.’ Songwriter Aidan Dickens recorded and mixed most of the album in a studio in Melbourne and completed in Auckland. The Illuminus sound fuses alternative, progressive elements with driving, heavy riffs and beats. Aidan also melds strings, piano, classical and electronic elements with his unique vocals.
‘Until the End’ takes the listener on a musical journey through the darkest recesses of the soul, featuring the riff-heavy ('The Machine', 'For you' and 'Berated'), neoclassical darkwave (‘Ebony’, ‘Wept’ – featuring soprano Milla Dickens), and delicate piano and string arrangements (‘Illuminate’, ‘The Lost’, ‘Until The End’, ‘Dining on Ashes.’) The three-dimensional ‘Ebony’ music video, created by Aidan Dickens, can be viewed at www.youtube.com/illuminusband,
