Wil Greenstreet has been playing music for 50 years, first as a famous rhythm and blues guitar player in Australia in the 1960s and ‘70s (aka Billy Green): he played lead guitar in one of the top bands in Australia, Doug Parkinson In Focus and wrote the music for the cult movie, Stone. In 1975 he began transforming himself into a world-class jazz alto sax player and composer. He led a number of original jazz funk, acid jazz, and free jazz bands in Austin, Texas, for 10 years, introducing jam band music to the Austin music scene. Since 2001 he has lived in Rockland County, New York, and now in Duchess County, New York where he teaches, composes. Wil currently plays solo sax three nights a week on the 86th floor Observatory Deck of the Empire State Building ,where he has been playing since May of 2007.
