The History of forming the band then till now, by Marty Marino:
First mate to join was Tim Gettings: instruments to include guitar, harp and vocals. He was also very helpful though out the entire process of selecting the original band musicians as well as our song selections. The original band consisted of four members: myself, Tim, Darryl on bass and Bob on drums.
I’m a man that believes in destiny. Things come together or happen for a reason. I recently bought a sport fishing boat that was named the Boneshaker. I thought to myself what a great name and so the band became the Boneshakers Blues Band.
As with all things in life especially with a band things change. Members leave for one reason or another and are replaced with others that open new experiences musically. Bob (drums) left and Joe Dihlinger enters the scene.
A sax player was added to open even more possibilities of song selection. Art Macie filled that slot.
Joe (drums) left to join another band which opened the door for Jim Zeams. Jim’s credentials include a performing arts music degree in percussion. The band starts to elevate its performance.
Tim (guitar) decides to leave which opened the door for Chris Riele. Chris not only brings a mastery of guitar playing but he is also extremely proficient in harp, lead vocals as well as sound mixing. He immediately elevated not only the talent of the band but the overall sound as well.
The band played 5 pieces for about a year until the thoughts of adding a keyboard player surfaced.
Along comes Frank Taberski playing Hammond B3, Roland Fantom, Accordion, Valve trombone, flute and some back up vocals. He also established a more pro look for the band by adding digital lighting…drum risers...etc.
