Emily Keener / Bio

At 15 years old, Emily Keener is a young girl with an old soul, and her moving music seems to come from a place of beauty and pure emotion.

She plays her dad’s old-six string acoustic guitar with a folksy, nostalgic groove, and she can fill a room with her unique style. Her shows include her original songs and covers on both the guitar and piano, and every song is lovingly filtered through a passionate voice.

A Book of New Beginnings is Emily's first full-length album, and it has been in the works since February of 2013. Featuring The Womack Family Band, this all original album captures her lovely, youthful style with every word. Filled with new songs and new sounds, the record is beautiful down to the last second.

Emily started playing the guitar when she was 11 years old and began writing songs when she was almost 12. After writing for almost two years, she has over 60 original songs and has released two EPs in addition to her new LP.

Currently, she is working on writing more songs. Her influences include Steeldrivers, Johnny Cash and many other Bluegrass, Country and Americana artists including Chris Castle.
