Lisa has been writing and singing since she was a young girl. Never aspiring to be famous, she began singing with cover bands and for fun with friends. In 2001, she wrote the lyrics for Left Behind. In 2005, a couple of local musicians laid some basic riffs and tempo down for the song. It wasn't until the end of 2010 that Lisa decided to take off on an adventure to Nashville to record that first song that was near and dear to her heart. Of course, she could've made the song right here in the Twin Cities with any of her friends and talented production artists, but for the fun of it, Lisa directed and recorded the song at a well-known Nashville studio. She met a lot of interesting and talented people while she was in town and even spent time with her "famous" vocal coach. While her first songwriting production is country, she plans to embark on more of an Americana-style album of work and engage many Twin Cities' talents on her next adventure. With one foot in front of the other, and no idea where this is truly headed, with faith, hope and love, Lisa will continue writing, directing and inviting others to join in, For the fun of it and by the grace of God!
