Werebearcat / Bio

So we've had this little bee in our bonnet for quite some time now. Round about Summer 2013 we individually and unintentionally devoured and critiqued David Byrne's How Music Works, Holly performed at an exhibition that further delved into said book and topic, Kenny expounded verbosely on many occasions how Talking Heads has haunted his music making, we bonded over countless circuitous conversations that circled through cul de sacs crammed with Talking Heads imagery, we can not guess how many times we've all played Stop Making Sense on our screens and in our heads....and FINALLY we got around to busting out a few tunes at last years annual Come As You Aren't cover night at the Skylark. All this has cumulated in a powerhouse group we have summoned forth and aptly named, This Is Not My Beautiful Band. Werebearcat! has joined forces with members of Wiscon, Glass Elevator, The Tasty Crackers, and an invaluable mix of honorable and talented musicians from our various collectives. Come July 4th, you can join us at the Tractor Tavern for 2 hours of Talking Heads madness. This is a full on, shout to the rafters, rattle the basement, head spinning night of great music lovingly created for you. Elbow Coulee (Olympia) will be opening the night for us, and quite honestly, as much love and attention and gusto we have put into This Is Not My Beautiful Band.....Elbow Coulee will be a tremendously tough act to follow. July 4, Tractor Tavern, linky-link below. Get your tickets!
