CamIlion SwiTch / Bio

The name Camilion Switch represents the diversity of Tieshia and Ikericia, formerly TNI, who both originate from Birmingham and first met at their church youth group and started singing from then. Camilion Switch is a sexy female duo of pure rawness, whose unique sound is uncompromising and direct. With a fusion of R'n'B, Pop and Rock; melodic vocals; diverse lyrics combined with strong harmonies, Camilion Switch are two sassy, classy and fresh natural story tellers, who speak from the soul and with pure passion. Camilion Switch are chameleons, who can switch, adapt and relate to any audience.

Camilion Switch have performed at various venues and events such as, Nu Lounge, Birmingham; the Aston Pride Day; Manchester carnival; Oxjam; they are among the artists for the yearly Families For Peace concert in Victoria Square, Birmingham; the Voice of the Youth Showcase, in Birmingham, at The Drum and the Alexander Theatre; Camilion Switch also showcased their talent in London at the Suga Suga club, Belushi’s Bar, Vinyl Bar and The Camden Head; the Custard Factory and the Yardbird for ArtsFest and recently at The Jugs Pub, Newcastle Underlyme. Camilion Switch, formerly TNI, have also performed with The TNI Band at venues such as, Impanema, The Yardbird and The Moseley Arms.

Influences such as Jill Scott, Faith Evans, Aretha Franklin, SWV, Aaliyah, TLC, and Mary J. Blige, just to name a few, have helped to mould the sound of Camilion Switch, which is a blend of gospel, reggae, funk, old school and R'n'B. No two tunes are the same! Camilion Switch produced their first video '3 Styles', as TNI, which was given air-play on Sky's Channel U, in March 2005. Their music video 'Now That Your Gone' mildly looks at gun crime and the affect the issue has on communities. Within the video members of the Birmingham community, including gospel artist Spanna, Gleen from Families of Peace and Pastor Derek Webley of the New Testament Church of God, gave their opinions on gun crime and how the community can work together to solve it. 'Now That Your Gone' was also featured on The BBC Midlands Today News.

TNI have evolved into CamIlion SwiTch and are now working on their forth coming EP.
