The Evitable Conflict started at the beginning of the summer of 2009. Rudy had been in a previous punk band called The Hand Me Downs and wanted to try something different, that difference being he wanted to be in a metal band. He then mentioned to his brother Zach that he wanted to try and start a metal band. Zach coming from a local metal band called Annihilation Messiah thought it was a good idea. So the two started to brainstorm what their sound could be and what kind of things to write about. The only problem was, at the time, they didn't know anyone to fill in the rest of the instruments. While all this is going on Justin, David and Justus were all in a band together called Blood in the Water. A local punk/metal mix that had fair exposure in the local scene. Rudy had mentioned asking Justin and Justus to join the band if their other band wasn't doing anything. Zach asked Justus, who relayed the message to Justin and everyone was soon on board. The original line-up consisted of Rudy on the Lead guitar, Justin on the drums, Justus on the rhythm guitar, and Zach on the bass and vocals. The four jammed in a spare bedroom in Justus' basement and wrote a good three songs within a few practices. Soon they had to find a new place to practice due to their old spare room now being vacated. So they hit up David and asked if they could use his basement for practicing. Feeling awkward about just using him for his basement (and seeing how Zach was having trouble nailing both bass and vocals) David was asked to jump on the bass. After the new line-up change and a new practice space the band began to write more songs to start on their debut demo. The rest, is yet to be told.
