With the exception of a couple of album tracks from Trigger Mortis and Big Kitty, these are all home recordings done for fun whenever (minimal) equipment was available.
Amanda Rose Cagle is a native of Chattanooga, Tennessee, where she roams the valley as a free agent of theatrical, liturgical, traditional and anarchical music. She studied Baroque strings and woodwinds with Case Western tutors and holds a bachelor’s degree from Hiram College, where she focused on piano, double bass and clarinet. Following matriculation, she snuggled up under the wing of The Shaking Ray Levis and began a study of modern improvisation. She has performed with the big band Sweet Georgia Sound, psychedelic jug band Big Kitty, poet-prophet Jack Rentfro and the Apocalypso Quartet, Ghanian drum and dance group Mawre & Co., polka partiers The Wurstbrats, rococo-horror trio Trigger Mortis, and speakeasy chanteuse Christabel.
