Classified Frequency is an exciting power pop quartet from MD that consists of some of the most in demand musicians in the DC/MD/VA region. Their live shows are non stop, high energy assaults of power and hooks that have gotten the attention of many DJ's, musicians, bloggers and music fans in the DMV, including Matt Davis from Baltimore's 98 Rock who featured CF on his Baltimore local radio show and his local showcase "Noise In The Basement" at the Ottobar and The Tin Roof, and Stephanie Williams from "DC Music Download" who picked CF for the "Top 5 Artists To See" at the Hard Rock Cafe "Pink Jams" Marathon and wrote, "They are a band that I’m still ashamed I haven’t discovered sooner".
In 2014, CF was hired by Yelp Nova for an event at the Torpedo Factory in Alexandria, VA. CF played in front of over 800 people which got them featured on Channel 8 News in Rosslyn, VA, and they were also hand picked to open for The Pietasters at the Del Ray Music Festival in Alexandria, VA, The Funk Junkies at Rams Head in Baltimore, MD, and Carlton at Jammin' Java in Vienna, VA.
Their latest release, "Reach Out EP", was produced by Jim Ebert (The Marvelous 3, Butch Walker, All Time Low, Meredith Brooks) and mixed by Jamie Woolford (The Stereo, Gin Blossoms, The Story Changes). The EP features their spin on the Cheap Trick cult classic "Reach Out", the fan favorite "Have A Nice Day", and the Weezeresque "Over You".
2015 will bring more shows and more recording, with the hopes of releasing another EP before the year is out.
