What started out as a side project has turned into one of the fastest rising country bands in the Southeast. Daniel Johnson and fellow Thomson, Georgia native Chris Cook decided to start a garage band while attending college at Georgia Southern University in Statesboro, Georgia. The guys had no major intentions other than filling their passion to play music. Soon after, they were surrounded by other musicians and playing small gigs in the local music scene. It didn’t take long for people to take notice. Within months Daniel had already added a full band around himself and landed a management deal.
With the additions of Logan McCullough and Lee Hopkins the band hit the road immediately playing every honkey-tonk and hole in the wall that would let them play. After a year on the road and 120+ shows later; the band decided to cut their first album at Sonica Studios in Atlanta, Georgia under renowned producer John Briglevich. The debut EP “Dry County Nights” garnered great reviews and radio play across the state. In late 2012, DJB was a finalist for the “Male Artist of the Year” category for Georgia by the Georgia Country Music Association Awards and added talented lead guitarist Jason White.
With a full head of steam and a promising future the band is planning on releasing a new album in 2013 and continuing to build their fan base across the Country
