Sonya McGuire / Bio

Sonya McGuire is a preachers’ daughter who learned to sing, act and appreciate music at a very early age. Music played such a dominant role in the home, Sonya had no choice but to follow the unofficial “family business". Sonya chose drums to express her musical creativity and talent.
She later developed a love for singing and directing, quickly becoming the obvious choice for musical director at her father’s church. Thus her God-given skills took her from behind the drums to the forefront of the music ministry. The experience gained from collaborating with other artists and choirs in the metro-Atlanta area, she co-founded the group Agape.
