Two Coats Colder / Bio

“Two Coats Colder” are a 4 piece acoustic folk band performing a mix of traditional, contemporary and original material. We've been playing as a duo since the beginning of 2010 and in the last year becoming a 4 piece band. We have been lucky enough to play at some great venues - the Phoenix Folk Club, the Music House (Wensum Lodge) in Norwich, the Cambridge Folk Club, the Bournemouth Folk Club and The Milkmaid Folk Club, Colchester Folk Club, Highbarn, Moira Furnace Folk Festival as well as appearing on Wayland Radio's Sunday night Folk Club, BBC Radio Three Counties, BBc Radio Devon, Hermitage Radio, Bishop FM - and are looking forward to lot more gigs in the next few months! We are based in Great Bardfield, Essex, but spend as much time as we can on the North Norfolk coast. The name "Two Coats Colder" was inspired by the local wisdom that the North Norfolk Coast is "two coats colder" than anywhere else, at any time of the year. It might just as easily apply to the West Coast of Canada, where Anna spent several seasons on a Gray Whale research project, if not to Dorset, where she was born and where we both still visit when we're not heading North to Norfolk.
