A born performer Carrie Haber will intrigue you from the first moment you spy on her sitting at the piano, with her vibrant red hair and mischievous smile. Your ears will resonate with pleasure as they listen to her powerhouse voice and all her memorable melodies and lyrics.
Influenced by classical, contemporary music and movie soundtracks, Carrie’s songs reveal her ongoing fascination with the hypothetical question, every day human experience, eccentricity and personality disorders.
Regularly gigging on the London music scene, Carrie is steadily attracting eager fans to her music and performances. Craig Nightingale of the Roof Gardens says "...in a few words - 100% original and talented! I've had her EP on repeat...and I'll be inviting her back"
Back in her homeland, Malta, Carrie is a well-known artist and has had the opportunity to support major acts such as Bob Geldof and The Feeling, as well as being the feature act for a Sting ‘after party’. She won Best Songwriter and Best Female Artist at the Malta Music Awards in 2009. Shaun Grech, Life & Style Magazine, wrote, “Carrie is gifted with an amazing vocal range, mature song-writing and piano playing skills…destined for success beyond our shores".
In 2009 Carrie also released her EP 'It’s Complex' with a video of the single 'Me Oh My' available on YouTube. The main focus for 2010-11 was writing, recording, getting on the road, developing her show and building a solid fan base.
Early in 2010 Carrie met Grammy award winning producer/engineer Steve Orchard. Steve has worked with the likes of Paul McCartney, Peter Gabriel, Travis, Goldfrapp, U2 and The Zombies. Steve immediately offered to produce her debut album which is being released in 4 separate EPs. The first of these, called TAURUS, is being released on Thursday 26th of April at The Bedford in Balham. The track 'I'd Rather Die' which is the single that features in TAURUS has already been receiving positive feedback from industry insiders and the good news is that it will be accompanied by a music video very shortly!
