Brad Stock and the Atomic Clock
The Atomic Clock-Full Album release coming soon - produced by Matt Winegar (Primus, Coheed & Cambria, Etc.)
Atomic. The word itself carries the seeds of unimaginable beauty, power, fear, hope, and the seeds of time and life itself. And it perfectly encapusules the music of Brad Stock’s debut album, “The Atomic Clock.”
In the spirit of David Bowie, Ben Harper, Beck, and his heroes The Beatles, Brad is able to mesh blues, jazz, folk, and rock into a sound of his own. The music remaining accessible to a wide audience of music lovers, even reaching across age groups and genres. His music sounds both new and old, blending the familiar with a voice and sound that is both fresh and universal.
In the past year he has formed a musical partnership with veteran producer Matt Winegar, (Primus, Coheed and Cambria, etc,) Frank Zappa alumni Ed Mann, up and coming Kauai-based vocalist Iris Downey. His debut album, The Atomic Clock, will be released in early 2012.
Brad continues to build a fast-growing fan base and internet presence. His plan is to tour, and to bring his music to a wide and receptive audience.
“Really great stuff. Brad’s music has that indefineable quality of magic that I love, and find missing in so much of today’s music. I can hear the rolling force of the waves he surfs on Kauai. His music really grooves but retains its identity.”
-“I have worked with a lot of songwriters, and Brad is one of the best. His music is refreshing, intelligent, and, humorous, with great, deep grooves. in short: everything that we loved when we got into rock music to begin with.
-Ed Mann, Percussionist, Keyboardist, Zappa Alumni
“Brad Stock’s music combines several decades of musical influence … It’s so cool. It has the magic and he understands the importance of leaving space in music…I wish I could cancel all the rest of my projects and just work on this
–Matt Winegar, Musician, Producer, Engineer, (Primus, Coheed and Cambria, Faith No More, and others.)
“One of the most talented musicians I met at Kauai Music Festival was Brad Stock, a guitar player and singer from Lihue, Kauai. I actually heard a song by Brad on KTUH (Oahu) radio before meeting him at the festival.”
Sample lyric from ‘One of My Better Days: ‘ “I didn’t go to mass on a headfull of mushrooms.” Brad is able to use offbeat lyrics in the tasteful manner I spoke of and then keep the music interesting with his blend of psychedelia, reggae, and folk. The music brings to mind Ween, Pink Floyd, Peter Tosh, and Incubus. However, the blending never feels or sounds strained. Brad's going to have a lot of good things coming soon, so check him out.”

“I was standing in front of the hotel when I looked up and saw a guy with sandy blonde hair walking toward me with something in his hand. It looked like he was holding a notebook… He extended his arm and gave me a framed photograph of him riding a twenty-five foot, monster wave on his surfboard.
The photo clearly proves that Brad Stock is a man who is not one to back down from a challenge. People like Brad are what get me out of the house and into the office every day… Brad Stock is on a collision course with success! (Brad’s response: “and I’m not wearing a seat belt.”)

Emails from Ted Hackie, one of Brad’s most devoted fans:
I think your music is really top notch and infectious, the recording is perfect, and you have a great voice. By infectious, I mean that it stays with you, and it is difficult to shake, and I think that’s one of the best qualities any music can have.
I would like to add your songs it to my repertoire of music that I play along with as I practice. Please let me know if there is anyway that I can download your music to my computer, and Ipod.
Thanks for your music and your great talent….
Yeah, I had to download all of your tunes, because they were circulating in my mind and the would not leave me alone!.......... Infectious!
I am getting into your music more everyday. I now have you in my car, on a CD, and on my Ipod, when I go for a bike ride, or even for a paddle on my SUP. One of these days I may even be surfing with your music. I can tell that you did put a lot of hard work into your recordiings, and so it shows...
I have had some guests from the mainland the past few days, however, before that I was playing along with your tunes every night for a least an hour, which I will now continue since the guests are gone.
Keep up the good work, as I am confident that it will pay off, many times over for you, in the near future!
