Ebiere Ohochukwu popularly known as Ebiere is one of Nigeria’s foremost female vocalists and entertainer. She was born in the city Port Harcourt Nigeria on the 24th August.She started singing at the age of six and has never stopped. She started out in a chidrens choir and at the age of nine she joined the adult choir in The Rock Word Church where she served as a lead singer for 8 years at the age of 20 she was appointed the music director of the eastern zone choir of Christ Embassy and also served as the zonal representative of Christ embassy Praise team world wide, where she ministered on various platforms as a member of Pastor Chris Oyakhilome’s praise team.While at school she was always identified for her special singing ability. She holds a certificate in theatre arts from the University of Port Harcourt and a certificate in music from the prestigious Middlesex University in London, United Kingdom. While in the university of Port Harcourt she won the best female vocalist award in the theatre arts department for three consecutive years, and in 2006 she won the best Nigerian female vocalist for the gospel music achievers award. Her debut album “Yekileme (Why me)” which was produced and released in 2006 by her former record label company west side music, was a hit with producers like cobhams, victor okon, King buskie and Romantic Rolly . As an artist she has perfored in various events and shows within and outside Nigeria. She is known for her inspiring lyrics. music, Her aim is to reach the world with the Gospel of the lord Jesus Christ through music.
