Born and raised in Dade County, Florida, JIT (Just In Tyme) began rapping at young age while in middle school with his friends. A year after he discovered rap, his beloved mother died. As the oldest of three, JIT, born Michael French, had to stay strong for his family so instead of releasing it publicly, he began to empty his heart out on paper. One of JIT’s many talents is poetry so during his time of grief, he wrote poems, and then later turned those heartfelt poems into music. In dealing with the loss of his mother, among other personal issues, JIT began failing in school and participating in detrimental activities. After connecting with his uncle , he received a wakeup call and decided to get himself together. He started applying himself in school, sports, and most of all music. Upon graduating from high school, he decided to join the military in order to stay on track, all while continuing to pursue his music.Over the years, JIT has steadily continued to progress in his music. Being inspired by hard working artists such as T.I., Outkast and Jay-Z to name a few, he began developing his style; incorporating punch lines and strong lyrical content into his music. After hard work and dedication, he released his first mixtape, “Just In Tyme” Vol 1.With all of his battles and triumphs, the mixtape was filled with substantial content that consisted of real life stories any normal person would feel. After the release of the mixtape, he began receiving a vast amount of opportunities and requests, including opening up for major artists such as Lil Flip. The success of the first mixtape was motivation for JIT to keep going harder.JIT is still serving faithfully in the military and continues to seriously pursue his rap career. While in Afghanistan, he’s currently working on his second mixtape titled, “Just In Tyme Vol 2”. Added to his past life experiences, so he has much more “real life” stories to translate into lyrics.
