Layering sounds of the banjo with viola and eerie reveries of musical saw, Avian Law is the solo venture of Alea Tuttle. Alea also plays with Dust and Ashes, a soulful folk-inspired group out of Charlotte, NC. She performs as a session musician for other various local acts including Andy The Doorbum, Bo White, Sam The Lion, The Luciferian Agenda, Kyle Perkins and Ancient Cities. Formerly of Burlington, Vermont, Alea's debut on the music scene was on new year's eve 2010 with indie "desert rock" group Osage Orange. Later, she went on to perform with a vaudeville-themed performance group Spielpalast Cabaret, and "suspender-fusion" group Vermont Joy Parade and with singer-songwriter Anna Pardenik. These musical collaborations grew from a series of informal jam sessions an Hump Day Brewery, an episodic sampling of homeade brews, homecooked meals, and general good times in an apartment above the infamous Radio Bean Lounge and Coffeehouse.
