Miss Heather Jo Cahill fell off the back of her daddy's pick-em-up truck way back in Mitchell, Injianna when she was just a lill cuss. Well, she bumped her head and started into cryin' and the next thing y'knowd people was gathered up from three counties round just t'hear it. Yeaah, she had pipes boy!! When she got a mite older she developed herself a taste fer the booze and the rambilin and she wound up here, in Portland Oregon. Which was a dern fine stroke a luck cause that's where she met Mr. Jason Rocksmore. Now J.R. had seen some hard times too. He'd lived, loved n'been gussied up in the county blues everywhere from diddle-eyed Joe to damned if I know. I do believe the only thing kept him outta the chair was that dang git-box he carried around with him everywhere he went. Well, he got hisself a case of itchy feet in Austin, Texas and found his way here to Portland too. And ain't that just a damn fine thing cause now him and Ms. Heather Jo dun up and started makin music together! It's powerful sweet too, boy. He sound like he been garglin' razor blades, she sound like she made a deal with ol' Slewfoot. Well the two o'them started into playin their music in the taverns and the dirtier bars a'this town, and they's just a makin' people stomp their feet and start t'hollerin. One of them people was a band by th'name'a Podunk an' they introduced Mr. Rocksmore to a young lady name'a Marilee Hord. Welllll now. Jason Heard that girl play the fiddle one night an his eyes turned all fiery an' fierce. I gots t'have me that fiddle player, he says. He got up offa that barstool an' after steadin' hisself a bit comenced t'makin a bee-line fer th'stage. Well wasn't long before they all decided t'join forces and now boy, Hoooooweee! I'll tell ya, they might wind up in the pokey and the eternal flames both, but maaan what a sweet ride we'll all get along the way! Heyuh.
