Eklectic was born Jesse James Churilla in Port Huron, Mi. He never knew his father and was raised along with three younger half-sisters by his mother, Kathy Schultz and step-father Mark Schultz. Although he was poor and bullied on the regular basis, and expelled in ninth grade, Churilla never lost hope and went to God for his calling. Soon after he reconciled a beef he had with a co-worker, Radikal Hughes when they learned their spirits sang the same passion for hip-hop music. In the Summer of 2010 Hughes took Eklectic to the studio he recorded at in Battle Creek, Mi, Jesse did a acapella rap on the intro of Radikals album, Free 2 Fly. Jesse knew then, God's answer. knowing his calling, Eklectic started perfecting his craft and has performed with Radikal, and at several local venues with his solo act, receiving rave reviews from the audience. Churilla now spends most days in collaboration with local artists in his basement studio, creating emotionally uplifting lyrics, beats and songs while perfecting his craft as an American rapper, music producer/engineer and Wedding/Party DJ. Coming up from a home where Urban music was forbidden, Jesse never gave up his love for Hip Hop Music and continues to live his passion where only God can stop his mission to create life changing music for the world to hear.
