Ana is not just your typical girl next door with the average tune. Her voice is captivating, awe-inspiring, cool, and sexy with a touch of gospel; it is impossible to listen to her sing and not want to know more about her music! With an exploding high key range and melodic vibrant tone, she is bound to leave you wanting more.
A native of Prince Georges County Maryland, Ana first discovered her gifts in songwriting and singing at the age of 13. Her development of contemporary R&B style came from the heavily musical influence of such artist like Alicia Keys, Anita Baker, Whitney Houston and others. Ana says, "The main reason why I choose to write about adult songs is because so many people initially would come to me with their relationship problems and they still do." It is ironic that she even considered studying to become a psychologist at one point in time. Fortunately, it did not stop there and she chose the route of creating great music. Now married, to her husband Chevon, Ana's music has grown to an even higher expectation. She says, "It's not puppy love, but its real love, real issues, real life all broken down in eight bars."
Ana has also been sharing her great gifts with other recording artists. She was blessed to be the lead vocalist on the radio single “The Storm is Passing Over” featuring Gerald Albright. It doesn’t stop there she was fortunate to write a gospel song for the 2010 Stellar Award Winning Gospel Group, "Phillip Carter and the Sounds of Victory."
She is currently working on a special project, with beats that are reminiscent of the 80's soft pop, and of course, R&B. Ana has written songs that will make you feel good; make you want to get up out of your seat and dance, and songs that will soothe your soul.
She released her first single on March 12, 2013, entitled "Wanna Be Down," an upbeat, May J. Blige persona with a splash of D.C.'s well known sound of Go-Go, "For this special project, I wanted to write something fun, edgy and still be true to who I am and where I'm from," Ana says.
While at her humble beginning, she has plans to perform on bigger stages, singing across the nation and around the World. Ana knows that there are no limits in dreaming and achieving, and with God on her side, nothing is impossible.
