"Why do I do music? For that moment when I look out in the audience and I see someone I have never met singing the lyrics to one of my original songs, and watching it mean something to them... give them something in some way." -Whitney
~ For this proud Texas native, writing songs is a great way to rid complications and express conflicting emotions... music has always been a part of her life; she played piano at 7 and a variety of instruments since, but began writing country music in 2007 and is convinced she has become a more peaceful person. Every song Whitney writes has a meaning, an origin, a message. No empty lyrics here! She taught herself guitar to put music to these lyrics and slowly but surely have progressed... she says her ultimate goal is to play lead one day, but admits that's probably a little ways off yet.
With the help of the best grandparents in the world, a few close friends, and an amazing network of musicians, Whitney hopes to become a well-known songwriter one day. "I'm not in this to become the next 'American Idol' or Taylor Swift... I just want to sit at home in Texas, pick my guitar, write and share songs that can touch people all over the world, and still be there to feed my horses at the end of the day. That's all."
