The Travelers are an adventures bunch who dabble in much, and do much more than dabble, they delve. They love to try new things and it's what has inspired their music to take flight and continue to soar. The Travelers consists of Kyle Hazelton on guitar, Jonathan Hagen on bass guitar and vocals, Justin Hazelton on flute and vocals, Michael "Big Money Hollywood" Ziegler on Percussion, and James Margolis also on guitar. The Travelers share writing responsibility and have a dynamic and eclectic style in doing so.
Kyle Hazelton and Jonathan Hagen met at Philadelphia University through mutual friends after Hagen had already transferred to another school and dropped out twice. Hazelton graduated from the same school with a degree in architecture and the two started making music together two years after meeting. It only took one jam session to know they were a musical match. Being that they are both so multifaceted, they have plenty of ammunition for the fight up the rungs of the music industry ladder; they both write poetry, sing, play guitar, and create stimulating visuals for their audiences.
Justin Hazelton, Kyle's brother, started playing flute, writing, and delivering ferocious lyrical lines with The Travelers in November 2010. Michael "Big Money Hollywood" Ziegler, a former percussion major at Temple University, came later that same month to offer his Gettysburg rat-a-tat-tat to the group. James Margolis attended Berklee for a short time and joined The Travelers in September 2011 ready to melt face. Only time will tell where their journey will take them.
The Travelers have written 22 original songs, stepping into many musical genres. They are in the process of recording their first full album.
