Definition: n. A sick planet which has a cold, a fever, and some kind of weird infection.
v. To be worried sick about the health of the planet, because you know the problem is really the people.

Envirusment will be recording new material May-June of 2012 with Tim Narducci @ Sonic Room Studios in Livermore, Ca. The title for the new cd will be, "Black Water Dragon" with a mini tour in support of the new material in late 2012-13.

Envirusment was formed in Reno, Nevada in 2009 by Jeff Stewart former guitarist for Bay Area Thrash Band, "Annihilation" and "Deep Freeze". Kyle Chambers and Shawn Sariti former members of "Brant". Together they created a very unique sound heavily rooted in the early sounds of "The Bay Area Thrash Metal" scene, but it was missing the voice. After searching for the right vocalists they found what they were seeking in Steven Morris former vocalists of "Vicious Cycle", "Demension 13" and "Kut-Pile" all from Reno, Nevada.
Together they created a monster and named it ENVIRUSMENT.

In a few short months the songs came together with extreme metal vocals that soar up and down in range, shredding guitar solos and heavy groove oriented rhythms that shake the spinal cord and leave the Ancient ones to wonder? What is this place we call home? Envirusment shows are filled with high energy and swagger. Heavy metal straight up with no chaser!

Envirusment released their first ep entitled, "Seven Plagues" on their own label and went out in support of that ep and sold nearly 1,500 copies in 2010-11. Envirusment has played nearly 150 shows and has shared the stage with the likes of Possessed, Exodus, Forbidden, Malevolent Creation, Bonded by Blood, Imagika, Powerman 5000, Prong, Hatriot, Testament, Angerhead, Potential Threat, Spiral Arms, White Witch Canyon, Havok, LD/50, Ratchet and others.

We started to think what would another guitar player add to our sound? Wes Deputy, former guitar player for Carson City Thrasers "Kut-Pile" was available and we sent him some material that he learned rather quickly came in for audition and was very well rehearsed. Kyle Chambers and Shawn Sariti left the band in the spring of 2011 due to personal issues with family but after several auditions for the new drummer and bass player we found the two perfect musicians to complete The Virus plague!

John Shafer joined up with Envirusment in the summer of 2011. His journey has included playing at places like the Milwaukee Metal Fest and New York Ritz with Bay Area metal bands Hexx, Skinlab and Funeral and for eight years in Tahoe with Lavish Green. While studio drummers are relatively rare in today's era of drum machines, Shafer has been recording with an impressive list of session musicians: Tim Narducci, Sean Beavan, Lyle Workman and Davey Faugherty. Shafer also has been writing and recording with Eric Cutler, best know for his time with the death metal band Autopsy. Shafer and Cutler played together in the 1990s with Funeral.
Don Wood former bassist of Dominion NV and Voodoo Lily joined the band in the summer of 2011 also.

Envirusment is on a quest to continue writing strong material, expanding our fan base by playing more out of state shows and developing healthy working relationships.
