Shawn Michael Hutchings - Hutch / Bio

For over 20 years Shawn has been developing his own distinctive guitar sound and songwriting style. He shines as an extremely gifted guitar player, painting his music with infectious guitar riffs and blazing guitar solos. His music is greatly influenced by Rock n’ Roll, Blues, Folk, Country, Funk, Reggae, and Pop music. One could categorize Hutch’s music as Good time Rock N’ Roll with a southern rock edge.

Shawn has been in a number of bands over the past 20 years including: Trixx 4 Kixx, Canton Rock, The Bemhos, Purple Locomotive, the pop cover band Brother Willis, and currently is the lead singer and guitarist for The Wolf Gang.

He has performed hundreds of shows throughout his career and performs solo wherever he can. A typical Hutch performance is aimed at entertaining the audience with recognizable, danceable, sing-able, good time music with a touch of improvisation and unpredictability.

“My aim for each show is to leave the audience completely entertained.  I want them to take the good time with them and leave them wanting more.”

Shawn has released two full length albums of original music: “Hear Me Calling (1993)” and “River of Life (2001)” as well as hundreds of other recordings throughout the years. He most recently finished work on his third full length album titled, “Live or Die” which was released to the world May 2008.

Hutch is currently working on his fourth studio album titled, 'We The People' which is slated to be released sometime in early 2011. Production on the album is well under way and is proceeding steadily. More information on the new album will be coming soon!
