Sunday Project formed in 2003, with bassist, Jake Sane. Shortly after forming, the band entered and won their first competition at the Rusty Rooster located in Atlanta, Ga. They continued to play around the southeast, their shows ranging from frat parties at Georgia Southern University to music venues in Chattanooga, Tn., and everything in between. The band’s only demo to date was recorded live in 2004 at The Star Bar, located near the Variety Playhouse in Atlanta’s Little Five Points area.
Following Jake Sane’s decision to break from the band, the remaining members continued to perform acoustically in and around northeast Georgia (Athens, Dahlonega, etc.). With the acquisition of musical virtuoso R.J. Feely in May of 2007, Sunday Project wrote, performed and promoted their unique style of indie-folk rock with a revitalized tenacity.
The band, with the exception of R.J., relocated to Savannah, Georgia in 2008. Currently, Sunday Project has just completed their first professional demo. They have now relocated back to their hometown of Chatsworth, GA and are writing music for a full-length album and playing live every chance they get.
