Monster Zero Rising (MZR)
The band was formed in 1987 by Ron Cox and Wayne Louie with the idea of doing metal music in a variety of styles, some of the band influences are, Loudness, Thin Lizzy, Metallica, Rush, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Black Sabbath, Megadeath, Gary Moore, Rainbow, just to name a few.
In 1988 Ron and Wayne were joined by Isaias Camarena Jr. on bass completing the music side, although the band was never able to find the right vocalist to round out the line up, they played live anyway as an instrumental unit, putting out a variety of metal music form thrash to progressive to and all points in between, the band had a relatively short run and disbanded in 1990.
The former band mates went their separate ways and followed their various creative pursuits individually until some 20 years later getting back together for a jam session just for fun, Wayne decide to record the event and the end result was awesome, the band sounded as good as if not better, than they did when they first began, so it was decided that they would get together and play once a year, as everyone’s schedule permitted: after getting together in 2011 to record new material and add some finishing touches to the songs that were recorded in 2010 they decide to make a full length CD of original music past and present that will be released to the public digitally via the band’s website.
The music will be a mix of hard hitting metal from thrash to intricate progressive and an epic band anthem, and not only will the band be a gigging recording unit, but also a self-contained
production company producing music for TV, film, video, and gaming.
