True to their name, (euphemism aside) a guy named Peter and twin brothers Roger and Andy- bred from
the land of Prince, and the Replacements, just-add-whiskey, and it seemed there was only one thing to
do.. Peter and the Twins keep touring around the country because they don’t need to stop.
The bands’ maiden years have been coupled with strings of accomplishments; most notably: two albums
with worldwide distribution, radio and television appearances at home and abroad, three ambitious
tours, an exciting sponsorship from the Bierstick Company, a critically acclaimed Tour Blog, and
even negotiations with N.S. Bienstock which nearly left the DIY touring band with their own nationally
syndicated reality television show.
The inspiration for continuing came from an unexpected place. Peter says,
The first tour was an eye opener for me. The shows were good, but something really crazy was happening
afterwards. We really love to have a great time; but an unexpected sentiment kept being expressed to us-
city after city, about how,[what was typical for us]- our nightly blurried escapades, were providing other
people- even the most hardened guys, or bar owners, with some of the most fun they’d ever had in their
lives. And I think it has everything to do with the Twins. They really get people out of their shell to a place
where we all should be. To me that is the magic of Peter and the Twins
As each individual band holds itself together by a set of beliefs, Peter and the Twins decided to
1. Rock and Roll Every Night- If a show falls through we will call every bar in your town until
somebody lets us play Journey covers and sell T-shirts.
2. Tip your bartenders
3. Diversify – We learn hundreds of cover songs so that when we need to fill in a date with a cover
show we’re prepared for whatever people want to hear.
4. Get people dancing – dancing is fun.
5. Have a Great Time – why else would you do this?
