Out of the depths of Springfield, MO comes Psychedelic-Rock band "aMedivm" (pronounced A-medium). Formed in 2005 as the solo project of Founder Brandon Lee Closser. aMedivm began as a collection of Soundscapes, Sonic textures, and Experimentation involving only guitar. Some of the earlier layered structures resembled classical music in a slight degree. Brandon was joined by blood relative Nathan "Snake" Kearney in the summer of 2008. The two began to collaborate for the next year, constantly writing and recording home demos. When the time came to find a bassist, the two didn't have any luck with local auditions. So they convinced close friend Shaun "Chops" Wilcoxen to put down guitar and pursue bass instead. Brandon and Nathan taught Shaun the songs on bass while at the same time writing them as they went along. The 3 core members struggled to find a drummer and a vocalist. After many failed auditions and the departure of original drummer Paul Napier. Jake Stringer joined the group in June 2011 and completed the instrumental vortex once again. The current lineup has been together for over a year now. Jake Stringer left to pursue drums for "David Allen Coe" in August 2012. Jakes spot on drums was filled by Michael Wilson as of March 2013. aMedivm is set to record their long anticipated debut album in August 2013!
