The Deep Blue Dream is known as "musicians’ musicians" according to Rochester music writer Frank De Blase. The band is a dynamic fusion of five talented musicians, driven by the soulful pipes of Lauren Faggiano, and encompassing a variety of styles ranging from funky soulful blues, to rock and jazz. The band consists of Lauren on keys and vocals, Ken Schumacher on the low end, Dr. Joe Chesebro hittin' the biscuits, Faith Lasher blowin' horn, and her husband Alex Lasher pickin' the guitar. The band all share vocals throughout the night and put together some unique and tight harmonies. The group has been playing in and around western NY since 2006, and in that time have been a part of some amazing shows, opening up for fantastic national acts such as Leon Russell, Medeski Martin and Wood, Big Sam's funky Nation, Joe Louis Walker, The Campbell Brothers, Phoebe Snow, Commander Cody, Popa Chubby, Carolyn Wonderland and Jimmie Highsmith, and played the Rochester City Music Fest on the same bill as Patti LaBelle and George Clinton.
