I have many influences. I have many styles. God has given me a gift to share with everyone. Now, whether anyone wants to hear what I have to play...that's another story.
I really love blues music. Being from Chicago, that's probably a given. But I was also at ground zero in the late 70's Green Bay "Punk" scene. My parents listened to WLS and WJJD, two great Chicago radio stations. I was in the car so I absorbed that music too. My brother brought home British Invasion records. I absorbed that too. From Ray Price to the Kinks, The Beatles to The Sex Pistols, Muddy Waters to Roger Waters...I absorbed them.
I'm a self-taught player. Although my parents did offer lessons during my childhood. Then at the age of 13, something hit me. I receive my first guitar and never looked back. At first my motives for playing music was social. I really thought the way to a girls heart was a song. How wrong I was. I learned that music is emotional, but not a substitute for love. I learned that I really love music. Listening, writing and performing. And if my music touches people, that's awesome.
