The Modern Day Players / Bio

The Modern Day Players are some of LA's best and most talented musicians brought together first as a writing and recording collective. The Modern Day Players are comprised of former members of Korn, Macy Gray Band, Nick Carter's band as well as others that have performed with everyone from Billy Ray Cyrus to Billy Preston. The band soon began writing and performing in various incarnations and put out their first recording as The Modern Day Players in 2010 with the soul influenced EP titled "Are We There". The MDP have performed many venues and have headlined The House of Blues on Sunset, opened up for Everclear at The Viper Room as well as supported Neon Trees in The LA Rock n Roll Half Marathon. They have gained some media attention from being featured on KTLA news and by supporting Simple Minds at The MTV Movie Awards After Party at Universal City hosted by Combat Radio. They also shot a music video for their single "Everytime You Go" co-sponsored by Krome Vodka.
Their music has been featured on Combat Radio, Guy Talk Radio, May the Forbes Be With You Radio Show..etc. The band is currently recording a full length album due 2013 and promises to deliver the soulful sounds and hooks to be expected as a follow up to "Are We There". However, the new record will also behold a bolder broader, bigger sound! Stay tuned.
