Canadian Country Singer Beth Marie Anderson is a seasoned performer, Nashville Recording Artist, and accomplished songwriter. She has shared the stage with Artists such as Carolyn Dawn Johnson, Johnny Reid, Victoria Banks, Michelle Wright, Patricia Conroy, Jessie Farrell, and the great Canadian rock bands, Chilliwack and Trooper.
Growing up listening to artists ranging from Patsy Cline, Jim Reeves, Diamond Rio and Elvis to Charlotte Church and Whitney Houston, Beth grew up with Country roots and an appreciation for a trained voice. These influences created the eclectic Country/Pop style that Beth writes and performs in today. After spending four years studying Classical music and one year as a student of the Victoria Conservatory of Music, Beth decided to pursue the music that came naturally to her: Country.
Beth recorded her debut album “Open Road” in 2010 at the renowned studios of Dark Horse Recording (Taylor Swift, Faith Hill, Tim McGraw, Terri Clark, Alison Krauss, Martina McBride, Trace Atkins, etc…). With songwriting credit on 8 of the 10 tracks, Beth is very proud of this album. She worked with writers Grady Walker and Marc-Alan Barnette, as well as talented musicians that among others have played on records including Keith Urban, Taylor Swift, Ricky Skaggs, and many more.
Beth has an extensive background in live performance and has performed with the Vancouver Island Opera Company, Bard to Broadway, Echo Players Theater, at events including Duncan Fest, Beach Fest, The annual Glassie Awards & Concert for a cure.
In the fall of 2011 Beth made her fourth trip to Nashville, and wrote 24 new songs in three months and performed all over Tennessee. She wrote with talented writers such as Troy Powers (‘All I want for Christmas is you’– Mariah Carey, Le Ann Rimes), Grady Walker (‘Lost In The Parade’- Michael McDonald), Travis Warren Cox, Bill DiLuigi, and up coming artists.
In the spring of 2012 Beth was nominated for ‘Song of the Year’ at the Vancouver Island Music Awards for her song ‘Fallen Angel’ and released her single ‘Who’s Going Home With Who’ on iTunes. In the fall Beth traveled back to Nashville for writing, performing and recording for her second album.
2013 has been an incredible whirlwind! Beth was chosen to exhibit at the CMA Fan Fair this past June in Nashville, and was the only Canadian emerging artist exhibitor selected. She had thousands of new fans come through her booth and developed so many new relationships! Beth's christmas song, 'Merry Christmas To Me' has been selected for two compilation cds, one of which is being created to send to our troops over seas, and is being recorded by country singer Sherry Lynn for her upcoming christmas album. Beth recently found out her song 'Sunday Shoes' has been on hold for multiple artists including Le Ann Rimes, Sarah Evans, Pam Tillis and other major recording label artists.
In the fall of 2013 Beth visited Nashville again in the fall to perform, record and write. This trip lead to many wonderful connections & exciting opportunities that are just starting to unfold. Beth is about to go on a tour of western Canada before christmas where she is performing 15 shows, and during the day will be going into schools and talking to kids about chasing their dreams and pursuing a musical career. Beth's second album, 'Let It Go' is set to release Nov.20th and will be followed by a tour in 2014.
