Manamana (Muh-Nah-Muh-Nah) is the embodiment of professionalism and musicianship combined with an infectiously electrifying and high impact live experience that won't be forgotten. In that, there is no individual member of Manamana, simply the collective of everyone at the show, on and off the stage, from the first strum of the guitar to the last roar of the crowd!
The band was founded in 2010 by Butch Bobcat, P. Shway, and Mr. Saturday Knight from what was supposed to be a one off show. Three days before a bill on July 24th at a venue in Rock Hill, SC that needed another band to open the show, they decided to put together a set comprised of songs that Butch Bobcat had previously written. After just two practices, they took the stage with such intensity and energy that by the end of their set, the entire audience was in a state of euphoria and craving more. At that moment, Manamana was born and has since been dedicated to their fans in putting on a high energy, charismatic live show filled with addictively catchy music.
Manamana isn't your average heavy rock band. Their music encompasses many different styles that range through blues, rock, alternative, and metal with lyrics that easily relate to the hardest of partiers as well as the soberest of designated drivers. All of their songs are composed of tight grooves and brilliant hooks that will keep the crowd captivated through their entire show.
In 2012, Manamana set out on several short tours throughout the east coast gaining fans and notoriety in every city and venue that they played. They decided in January of 2013 that with the success they've seen so far, these three musicians would take their show across the country. With that, Manamana sold everything that they couldn't fit into their tour vehicle and left everything in the stability of their "normal" lives behind (home, jobs, relationships, etc.) to hit the road full time on their Party On Wheels national tour.
Making precedence in doing what other bands haven't done in over 20 years, they are compared to the likes of Nirvana and Metallica, Manamana has been booking their tour from the road. On nights that they don't have a scheduled show, Manamana hits open mics and walks into bars offering to play that night simply because they love what they do. They've been on the road nonstop since the middle of January playing as often as possible and have already played about one hundred shows in 2013.
Manamana has earned the respect of many artists, fans, and venues with their high level of professionalism, drive, and dedication. They are all great fans of music themselves and in that, they constantly strive to give their fans the best concert experience that they have ever had.
