a wind
through light and shadow moves
a phantom around a sphere
homeless
timeless
flying blind
anchored to a mind both deadly and unclear

a mind in heat for bodies
to keep the soul in tow
on a spiral trip
from life to life and death
to deal the final blow

a wind of matchless wonder is
my ship
to worlds and ways unknown
the chains that choke and hold me fast
cut me to the bone
as I reach for stars beyond
and childhood hopes outgrown
I listen to my muses
and a wind - my timeless home...

calling
lifting
taunting me - until I am free to fly
the breathy muses dance and sing
to guide the soul on high

I steer my ship into the void
to spaces far and near
a wind
I ride the fearful storm
to rainbow worlds
so clear!
