Your eyes brushed over mind
They locked and for a second
I could see inside
They were like puddles of warm and kind in the sunshine

The way you look at me
As if you want me to see
Daring me to enter your thoughts
What do you want me to see

Things you’re scared to say
Feelings I’m afraid to find
Don’t be afraid to look in mine

There is something special
In speaking with your eyes
Searching for things that you can’t hide..
It can fill you up with answers
To questions you would never ask
It can help you work out problems
You never knew you had

We all need something to gain
That you carry within
That could alter the place you are in

There’s a feeling that I can’t put my finger on
A feeling of calm or maybe I’m wrong
But there’s a moment
When you first glance over a face and into on their eyes
It’s a new experience every time

A different story every they tell
Some reveal so much...others as cold as hell
Getting lost in an affair
How you can share without an embrace
