Good and Evil

born naive in a world full of innocence
full of hope as we grow we learn a bit
more and more
tears flow under bridges that burn
all that's good is evils step child son
we live, and we learn
we will be free when we see under the skin
its up to us, and what we let in
the choices that make this bed or grave we lay in
cause flowers can have thorns
and pain can make beautiful songs
we fight against the tide
in a mirror with two sides
the truth beneath the lies
these imperfections that make us unique
this line in between good and evil
will set us free
