Flying out
Music & Lyrics by Laurens Reij

The pilot takes his first flight,
A man walked by and said good luck to you Mr. Wright.
The plane awaits its ‘take off’ sign,
Until its fast moving forward, faster moving forward,
And faster moving forward ‘till it flies.

The young bird awaits its time.
The young bird knows one day, it’ll have to try.
The young bird awaits it’s time,
Until its wings had grown strong, wings had grown stronger,
Wings had grown strong enough to fly.

And of course it didn’t want to leave the safety of the nest.
And it begged it’s mother please, but she’d said it’s for your best,
So spread your wings open, spread your wings wider, spread and flap your wings until you fly.

And everyone had come to see, how Mr. Wright would be the first to fly out free.
And everyone would hold his breath, when Mr. Wright approached the cockpit,
Climbed into the cockpit, facing up his final destiny.

And of course he didn’t want to leave the safety of the ground,
And he hears his brothers cheers are overrules by the engine sound,
And the plane starts moving forward, faster moving forward and faster moving forward ‘till it flies.
