Standing at the edge of the deep blue sea
I was staring at the moon
she was staring back at me
we were thinking
about how to win your hear a second time around
the conversation started when it rained too long
and the moon didn't come up
'til the evening sun started dying in the west
setting in the west
then we were friends again
We were staring at the clouds staring at the ground
didn't know which way was up
or what was down but we both
knew we needed something bigger
than this place
So the moon traveled high, it traveled low
bringing in the tides
yeah it moved real slow
but she was in the water
drowned and lifeless again
