Viewing lyrics for Where Were You This Christmas - Deborah Lee & Ted Bushey by Deborah Lee.

(LYRIC AT END)
When I wrote this song I had been away from my family and thinking about all the men and women who are away from home because of circumstances or work. Putting in the nightshift or flying/driving on the other side of the country. There was a christmas special on tv about troops overseas and their families at home.... All these people seperated by time and space.... I wondered what there was that we could all see anytime, anywhere and thought of the sky... the moon, the stars.... something we've all probably looked up to and been reminded of someone somewhere or wished upon..... so I wanted people to feel hope and home in the sky and the stars knowing that wherever we are, even on the other
side of the world, the people we love can look up and see the same.

I may not remember the hat that you wore

Or the bow on the wreath that we hung on our door

N’ I may not remember your text on the phone

But I remember that Christmas alone

CHORUS Where were you this Christmas Eve

Where were you when you weren’t with me

Even tho’ I know its far

I know we’ll be wishing on the very same star

You may not remember the lipstick I wore
Or the way our eyes met when you walked out the door
N’ you may not remember my tears on your lips
But you’ll remember our long goodbye kiss

REPEAT CHORUS

INSTRUMENTAL/VOICES / BELLS /CHORALE

Where were you this Christmas Eve (choir & repeats )…….

…. In Me….
