She’s often got rain drops in her eyes when she smiles
Sunbeams on the corner of her lips when she cries
She wears a green bowler hat, Mondays
With a purple pair of tights
So « odd » -fashioned but so nice
Where does she come from?

Never where I wait for her (or I expect her)
She always wanders
But sometimes when I wait no more
She’s staying alone at the door
Her sea green eyes behind her hair
Coming from nowhere

She walks with a red umbrella in full summer
But takes her yellow parasol when it gets colder
Staying in front of the North Sea, as if she’s
Waiting for a foggy weather
While my soul is getting gloomier
What does she want?

She is here today
Sun is shining
She is here
Should I smile?

She often lies cause she find the truth too dreary
But she always says sincerely she is unsightly
Anyway, she does not talk a lot
But her words have got the depth
Of something higher, a kind of strength
Where does she go on?

I forgot to tell ‘ something important she is blind
Yes, she’s blind but she is sighted
And she is
Out of reach, she’s like a rainbow

Stranger than Northern Lights
For me she is
Brighter than a painting of Millais
But she’s really sad like a swamp shrouded in mist
