The storm

The storm inside was raging
It tore everything apart
Tried to hold it off once
But then the storm got smart

It blew vast walls to pieces
Threw water out of the skies
It sucked all into the black hole
I kept hidden ‘neath a veil of lies

One day the storm subsided
And dark clouds just disappeared
It came up with a nice appearance
Cloaked with a thin veneer

The storm everlasting
Anchored to the ground
Raging until I found……me

I scraped beyond the surface
Of all the things I loved to fear
Peeled of a thousand layers
Until I felt the end coming near

A little faith was resurrected
It grew until it found its place
It pushed until the moment
We came face to face

I tripped over the high wires
In my journey toward the moon
The touch of fleeting moments
Was not too late, not too soon

The storm everlasting
Anchored to the ground
Raging until I found…..you
