From your spleen
To the eerie sheen
Of her skin

Glint of incandescent
Rose bulbs blooming
And then no –
She had none

Milk-white back, bland chest
Tinstick arms, shadow-glances
Hardened tears and sweat

Skimming the Damp-dead street
With glazed eyes
Through frosted glass

Drizzle water
From the gutter
Down to the sewer
