I’ve been off chasing my tail
there’s so many roads - and I can’t tell
which one is heaven - and which one is hell
these are the wonderings of a wandering self

seen so many porch lights that I don’t even know
that these are the wanderings of a wondering soul

night after night - on the roads through Ontario
the blizzards in winter - the strangers and drifters
in watering holes - I know

I’ve been off chasing my tail
been driving in circles - with nothing left to find
these are the wanderings of a wandering mind
