The Background to this song:
Just over a year ago my Mother's skin and eyes turned yellowish and she went into hospital for some investigations to be carried out to find out what was going on.

I was gigging on the weekend of the appointment, but felt an overwhelming urge to visit home after I'd played ,although no information had been shared by my parents at this time.

When I arrived at the family home I felt that things had somehow changed and my Mother and I cried tears when I hugged her as we met.

My parents took me out for dinner that night and put on the bravest faces ,as I now know they wanted me to have a last night without having to carry the burden of the awful truth our family were facing.

The next day when the whole family were around the table after enjoying Sunday dinner my Father told us that all was not as it seemed and that my Mother's results had shown that she had Pancreatic Cancer and the outlook was not looking good.

Cut to the bone was how I felt at the time, and I do now writing this ,it's news you're NEVER ready to hear that your Mother/loved one has developed this and with all the love in the world you and your family can do nothing about it. You always think you have tomorrow.

I had to drive back to Bristol that night and my parents called my Wife to inform her of the situation , before I arrived.

I didn't check the web , but my Sister did and informed me of the grimmest of odds that 90% of cases were terminal!

This story has the best of endings though, my Mother was the one in ten that could be operated on and this is what transpired.

She was operated on and we no longer live under this crippling black cloud!

I wanted to do something to show appreciation for those who saved her and something to help the research along and highlight this issue and so here it is my Mother's Day gift for anyone out there who may or may not have experienced this kind of trauma or just maybe through this effort will hear of this most worthy charity and support it's work.

I am proud to make a gift of this recording entitled :Fly In The Warmth of Your Love ,to the cause and any proceeds/publicity generated.

Thanks for your time and support
